Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead Experience: 10+ years Location: Ontario, Canada Contract: Contract Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise application development, full-stack solutions, system integration, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong Java/J2EE expertise and experience working with complex multi-tier, multi-platform environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, integrate, and support large-scale enterprise applications.Work across full-stack, backend, UI, middleware, database, and integration components.Develop and integrate REST APIs, SOAP/WSDL web services, JSON/XML messaging, and third-party services.Analyze business and technical requirements and provide effective solution recommendations.Lead solution design, code reviews/walkthroughs, debugging, refactoring, and performance optimization.Provide technical leadership to developers, system analysts, testers, and external technical teams.Identify and coordinate resolution of complex technical issues and incidents.Prepare technical designs, documentation, and solution architecture artefacts.Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and service delivery teams to ensure successful project delivery.Must-Have Skills 10+ years of IT systems development experience in complex, multi-tier environments.Strong Java / J2EE experience.JSP, Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JDBC, JMS.REST APIs, SOAP/WSDL, XML, JSON.Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL.Experience with Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere and/or WebLogic.Experience with Windows and/or UNIX/Solaris environments.Experience integrating third-party applications and enterprise services.Strong understanding of full-stack development, system integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.Familiarity with development/design tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code, MS Visio, or Power Designer.Technical Leadership & Communication Experience leading teams delivering enterprise-level IT solutions.Strong solution design, code review, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, project management, estimation, security, and privacy standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within deadlines.Nice to Have: Public-sector/government experience and knowledge of government IT standards, architecture, security, and privacy requirements.
