Graduate Developer (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description This full-time remote Graduate Developer role is designed for individuals starting their career in software development. On a day-to-day basis, the Graduate Developer will assist in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications under guidance from senior team members. Responsibilities include collaborating with the development team on feature implementation, reviewing and documenting code, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of existing systems. The Graduate Developer will participate in code reviews, follow established development processes, and learn best practices for version control, quality assurance, and deployment. The role also involves regular communication with team members, attending virtual meetings, and actively seeking feedback to support professional growth. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#) and basic understanding of software development principles.Familiarity with version control tools (such as Git) and an introductory awareness of collaborative development workflows.Ability to analyze problems, break them into smaller tasks, and propose logical solutions with attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions and document work clearly.Demonstrated willingness to learn, receive feedback constructively, and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and methods.Bachelor’s degree, bootcamp completion, or equivalent self-directed learning in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or relevant practical experience).Comfort working in a remote environment, including time management skills and the ability to collaborate using online tools.Exposure to basic web or application development, databases, or APIs is beneficial but not required.
