🚀 Senior Growth Engineer 📍 Location: San Francisco, CA / Bay Area (Hybrid) 💰 Salary: $225,000 – $290,000/year 💼 Job Type: Full-time 👥 Hiring: 1–2 candidates 🌎 Visa: Open to visa transfers (OPT, H-1B transfers, etc.) 🎯 Equity: Competitive equity package ABOUT THE ROLE Firecrawl is looking for a Senior Growth Engineer to build the product experiences that turn developers discovering Firecrawl into long-term users. This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role focused entirely on growth. You'll own the signup, activation, onboarding, and conversion experience and be measured by the funnel metrics you move—not simply the features you ship. You'll instrument, experiment, build, and iterate on product surfaces that drive Firecrawl's product-led growth (PLG) motion. You'll work closely with leadership and own meaningful conversion outcomes from day one. ABOUT FIRECRAWL Firecrawl makes it easy to turn the web into data that AI agents can use. We're a small, high-impact team where everyone owns meaningful parts of the product and company end-to-end. We move quickly, go deep, and are building infrastructure that other AI companies rely on. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own growth surfaces end-to-end, including signup, activation, onboarding, and conversion • Instrument the funnel, run experiments, and ship changes that move measurable business metrics • Build full-stack experiences across frontend and backend • Own conversion and activation metrics and continuously improve them • Work closely with product data to form hypotheses, test them, and iterate quickly • Partner with leadership to shape the growth roadmap • Build and improve developer-facing product experiences WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 5–12 years of experience as a full-stack engineer • Strong experience working on growth or product-led growth (PLG) products • Proven ownership of conversion, activation, or funnel metrics • Experience shipping PLG features such as onboarding, activation flows, upgrade prompts, or in-product guidance • Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js • Experience designing and running A/B tests and growth experiments • Experience analyzing funnels using event tracking, SQL, and product analytics • Experience working as an individual contributor at an early-stage or growth-stage startup • Strong product instincts and the ability to work independently without requiring detailed specifications • Experience working with developer-facing products, SDKs, APIs, playgrounds, or documentation surfaces • Strong ability to ship quickly, measure results, and iterate AI & TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE • Fluent with AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code • Experience building with LLMs in production is a strong plus • Experience with prompt engineering, tool use, or inference pipelines is a plus • Experience with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, Vercel, PostgreSQL, and Anthropic Claude API is a plus NICE TO HAVE • Experience building in-product growth experiences at a developer-tools or SaaS company • Experience building conversion-focused pages that measurably improved signup or activation • Experience building internal tooling adopted by growth or product teams • Experience with Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, Datadog, or similar tools • Python and SQL experience WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR • Pure frontend-only or backend-only specialists • Growth marketers, SEO/content specialists, lifecycle/CRM, or GTM operations profiles • Engineers focused solely on backend/platform work without strong product instincts • Candidates who have only shipped features without owning measurable outcomes • Pure research engineers without product ownership • Candidates who view AI coding tools as a novelty rather than part of their daily workflow • Candidates with a consistent pattern of very short stints WHY FIRECRAWL?
