Company Description Harper works with AI companies that are hiring in Korea right now, and the list keeps growing. One reached a $5B valuation in under two years. One is a global AI company opening its Korea office, after New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo. Many more companies need this role than are public about hiring for it, which is exactly why they come to Harper. This posting is not for one of them in particular. Talk to Harper once, and it tells you which of these companies you are most likely to match with, ranked in that order, with the salary band for each, before you commit to talking to anyone. Every role behind this posting is live and confirmed with the company that is hiring. Harper never posts a fake or placeholder job. What You'll Do Forward Deployed Engineer is the role frontier AI companies are competing hardest to fill right now, and every company behind this posting is hiring for it. Forward Deployed Engineering is not traditional product engineering. You sit with the customer, learn how their operations actually run, and build the systems that make AI work inside them. You lead a deployment from the first conversation through production, then keep iterating until it delivers. Run discovery with enterprise customers: map how they work, where the cost sits, and what would count as success.Turn that into a scoped plan with requirements, an integration approach, and metrics the customer will be held to.Own delivery end to end, from the first pilot through production launch, working alongside the engineers who build it.Align timelines, deliverables, and expectations across the customer, product, and engineering.Monitor how the agents perform in production and drive the next round of improvements.Find the next use case with the customer and expand from one workflow into the business. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on software engineering, with production systems that real users depend on.Experience across APIs, integrations, and data flows between systems. You want to be in front of customers. This is customer facing engineering, not a pure backend or infrastructure role. The ability to bring structure and momentum to a problem nobody has scoped yet.Business level Korean and English. You will work with global teams directly, with no layer in between. Years of experience is not a cutoff in this posting. These companies are hiring at different levels at the same time. Talk to Harper and it tells you which of them fits your years and your track record, and at what level, before you talk to anyone. Nice to Have Strong Python. One of these companies also expects React and TypeScript for full stack agent work.Hands-on work with LLMs, RAG, or agent systems in production, beyond demos.A forward deployed, solutions engineering, or technical consulting background.Familiarity with LLM evaluation, observability, and reliability in live environments.Cloud fluency (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Time at a fast growing or early stage company. Why This Role Is Remarkable You own the account technically. First customer call through production is yours, not a ticket in someone's backlog. What you build runs inside real enterprises and gets measured on business outcomes, not demos. These teams are early in Korea. What you ship in the first year becomes how the market runs.Very few engineers in Korea have done this job yet, and the companies hiring for it are all hiring at the same time. That is unusual leverage for a candidate. Process Step 1. Hit Apply on LinkedIn and you will meet Harper. Step 2. No formatted resume required. Just talk with Harper about where you are now and what you are looking for next. Step 3. Harper works from the real context it picks up in that conversation. When you are a strong fit for one of these companies, it recommends you to them right away. You stay in stealth throughout: no company sees your profile until you say so. Step 4. Terms, scheduling, and any questions you have about the company or the role. Harper handles all of it in between. Step 5. If this one is not the right fit, that is fine. Harper keeps finding and bringing you other strong roles across its network. The entire process is free for candidates.
