Role Description This full-time, on-site Software Developer – Frontend Developer role is based in Hesse, Germany. The position focuses on designing and implementing user interfaces for the HexBau platform, translating product requirements and UX designs into responsive, accessible, and performant web applications. Daily tasks include developing new frontend features, maintaining and refactoring existing components, integrating frontend code with backend APIs, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The developer will collaborate closely with product management, backend engineers, and EHS/industry experts to refine workflows, improve usability, and support continuous deployment and testing. The role also involves code reviews, documentation, and actively contributing to frontend architecture and best practices. Qualifications Solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.Experience in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on modern frontend frameworks and tooling.Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts and RESTful APIs to effectively integrate frontend and backend systems.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean, maintainable code practices.Practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and at least one major frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).Familiarity with version control (Git), testing frameworks, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and contribute to technical discussions.Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with industrial, construction, or EHS-related software is a plus; working proficiency in English is required, and German language skills are beneficial.
