Role Description The Software Engineer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in Geneva, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support EgoTECHworld’s IT services and products. The role involves implementing and optimizing back-end systems, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements. The Software Engineer will participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve defects, and contribute to improving development workflows and best practices. The position also includes documenting technical designs, ensuring performance and security standards, and staying current with emerging tools and frameworks relevant to the company’s technology stack. Qualifications Solid foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.Strong Programming skills, including experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and to participate in peer code reviews.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to learn new technologies quickly.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in hybrid teams across onsite and remote settings.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
