Role Description The Software Engineer – Frontend Development will design, implement, and maintain user-facing features for the HexBau platform in a full-time, on-site role located in Hesse, Germany. This position involves building responsive, intuitive interfaces, collaborating closely with backend developers and product owners, and translating user requirements into efficient, accessible web applications. The engineer will write clean, well-structured code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to UI/UX improvements based on user feedback and analytics. Daily tasks include integrating APIs, optimizing performance, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and maintaining documentation for frontend components. The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable delivery of new features and enhancements. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building modular, maintainable frontend applications.Experience in Software Development with modern frontend frameworks and tooling (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular; build and test tools).Basic understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts and RESTful APIs to collaborate effectively with backend teams.Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with responsive and accessible UI design.Ability to work on-site in Hesse, Germany, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in English; German language skills are an advantage.Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in industrial, construction, or EHS-related software domains is a plus.
