About The Role We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that support our digital solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, primarily within the banking and identity management domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies, with a particular focus on CIAM, IAM, and related security protocols. This position offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work arrangements, with options to work from our offices in Coppell, TX, or New York, NY. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development, with a focus on backend services.Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and microservices architecture.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud deployment strategies.Strong understanding of banking domain processes, CIAM, IAM, risk management, and fraud detection systems.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle RDBMS and MySQL.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Develop and implement scalable, high-performance backend services aligned with business objectives.Design and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support various digital solutions.Ensure the security and compliance of applications, especially within banking and identity management domains.Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high code quality and performance.Integrate with third-party systems and platforms using Kafka and other messaging protocols.Follow agile best practices, participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, providing support for production environments.
