Role Description As a Software Engineer at topGrads, you will work on-site in New York, NY in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. You will write clean, efficient code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot technical issues to improve system performance and reliability. Daily activities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implementing back-end features, integrating with databases and APIs, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering. You will also support testing, documentation, and deployment processes to deliver robust and scalable solutions for client projects. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).Practical skills in Back-End Web Development, including server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and database integration.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in designing modular, maintainable systems.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and communicate technical information clearly.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), testing frameworks, and modern development workflows (CI/CD) is beneficial.Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or ERP-related solutions is a plus.
