Job Description Supplier Quality Development Engineer Responsibilities Execute supplier quality strategies, policies, and processesPerform supplier qualification and approval activities in line with internal, customer, and regulatory requirementsPlan, conduct, and document supplier audits and assessments; ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actionsCollect, analyze, and report supplier performance data in collaboration with quality teamsMonitor supplier performance metrics (e.g., defect rates, delivery performance, responsiveness) and support improvement initiativesLead and support root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and IshikawaPrepare supplier scorecards, dashboards, and quality reports; communicate results and trends to stakeholdersCollaborate with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align on requirements and improvement actionsSupport new product introductions (NPI) by assessing supplier readiness and verifying process capabilityEnsure clear communication and implementation of technical and quality requirements with suppliersSupport receiving inspection processes based on supplier performance and riskPerform supplier risk assessments and support mitigation actionsAct as the primary contact for supplier quality-related communication and issue resolutionPromote continuous improvement within the supply baseSupport supplier and internal team training, onboarding, and technical development activitiesParticipate in supplier approval or disqualification decisions by providing data-driven recommendationsMonitor KPIs and support continuous improvement aligned with performance targetsEscalate critical supplier quality issues with analysis and recommendationsParticipate in technical discussions and reviews with suppliers Requirements Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capabilityGlobal mindset and cultural awarenessEffective negotiation and relationship-building skillsContinuous improvement and quality-oriented approachStrong analytical skills with the ability to drive data-based decision-makingExcellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skillsWillingness to travel internationally (up to approx. 30–40%) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Supplier Quality Engineer)Experience in quality management systems and supplier quality processesStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and 8DFluency in English (written and spoken)Experience working with suppliers in an international environment is an advantage Interview Requirements And Candidate Privacy Notice All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
