Description

Completions Engineer Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands Assignment Duration: 6 months Role Overview The Completions Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing the Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Handover processes. The successful candidate will manage completions activities using established completions management systems and work processes, ensuring the efficient transfer of systems from Construction to Commissioning and ultimately to Operations. Key Responsibilities Completions Management: Lead and execute completions activities throughout the project lifecycle.Implement and administer the project Completions Management System, including systemization and turnover processes.Ensure completions activities are delivered in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. Handover & Turnover Coordination Support the handover process from Construction to Commissioning and from Commissioning to Operations.Prepare and maintain Handover Dossiers, Turnover Packages, Mechanical Completion Certificates, and System Acceptance Certificates.Verify documentation completeness prior to system transfer. Punch List & Walkdown Management Coordinate system walkdowns with construction, commissioning, quality, and operations teams.Manage project punch lists and ensure timely close-out of outstanding items.Facilitate completions progress reviews and turnover meetings. Reporting Prepare regular completions progress reports and dashboards.Provide clear visibility of system status, turnover readiness, punch list closure, and commissioning progress.Identify risks and bottlenecks that could impact project milestones and recommend mitigation actions. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of experienceSimilar Commissioning or Completions positionsExperience working for EPC contractors, owner/operator organisations, or industrial project environments within: Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, HydrogenExperience managing equipment preservation through completions software systems.Previous site-based project experience with a strong focus on safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
