Title: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Dundee, UK Grade: 9 Position Summary & Key Areas Of Responsibility This is an exciting opportunity to work and gain experience as part of a small team in Dundee and with other facilities and suppliers in the support, design, evaluation and test of devices used in self-service products such as ATMs (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry). A key requirement is to have a desire to learn in a fast-moving mechanical design environment with a keen interest in the design of electro/mechanical systems operating under S/W control. Support existing and ongoing media handling projects from a mechanical perspectiveEvaluate different technologies and provide recommendations with backup analysisWork on mechanical development activities, providing estimates, manufacturing options etc. Gain experience in the Design of Mechanisms, working with tooling suppliers and parts manufactureDelivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standardsSupplier engagement and change managementCollaborate with Engineers from different disciplines to enable system wide integrationHold design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction CLCARelease work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
