Software Engineer

Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer to join an ever-evolving project where you will design, develop, and deploy mission-critical tools and solutions. This role involves working closely with customers to understand and support operational requirements, as well as analyzing large data sets to deliver mission-centric insights. You will collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other software engineers to integrate cutting-edge technologies and solutions that drive impactful results. What You Will Do Software Development: Write production-grade software to be deployed in operational environmentsMaintenance & Monitoring: Monitor software performance and implement updates as neededPlatform Enhancement: Augment the platform with new tools and technologies to meet evolving mission needsCode Reviews: Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality and complianceStakeholder Collaboration: Elicit requirements from stakeholders to align solutions with mission objectivesDocumentation: Write detailed documentation to support compliance processes and operational workflows What You Need To Have Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI w/ PolygraphEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus production-grade software development experience in C/C++, Python, and JavaVersion Control: Familiarity with software version control systems, such as GitUNIX/Linux Proficiency: Experience using the command line in UNIX or Linux environmentsNetworked Systems: Experience working in multi-node networked environments What We'd Like You To Have Containerization: Experience with Docker or KubernetesAutomation Tools: Familiarity with Ansible for configuration managementCloud Hosting: Experience with cloud-based hosting environments, such as AWSContinuous Integration: Proficiency with CI tools, such as Jenkins Pay transparency Please note the targeted compensation range is provided as an estimate, and any actual compensation offer may vary depending on the needs of the company, or an applicant's skillset, competencies, experience, education, certifications, location, or other factors.
