We are presently seeking a R&D Software Engineer who will support the continuous improvement and support of deployed software implementation in thin film optical coating manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
Support current and develop new implementations of software supporting production optical thin film coating equipmentDevelop software which interfaces process equipment to production databasesCollaborates with Thin Film Engineering team and incorporates feedback into current and future software deploymentsParticipate in peer reviews for software designs and implementationsEngage with a variety of team members with varying levels of expertise in software developmentSupport a formal software development lifecycle which delivers a well-documented, robust and reliable solution to ensure long-term sustainabilityDevelop documentation to support software users (software engineers, production technicians, and engineers)Other duties as assigned
Requirements
RequiredSTEM based bachelor’s degree5+ years professional programming experience in C#Ability to work with in house customers to develop design specifications and execute on software application to support new product and operational execution
Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience Programming in a manufacturing environmentC# programming with WPF, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and WCFMS SQL database design and query with TSQLC# techniques - interface programming, multi-threading, asynchronous programming, MVVM, and Windows ServicesWeb App programming with MVC – with\without client-side JavaScript, and Web APIBasic use of Git/GitHub with Visual Studio and VS CodeReal-time machine control programmingFamiliarity with RS232 / RS488 protocols

Pay Range: $110,000 - 150,000 per year, depending on experience.
