Trinseo Netherlands B.V. is seeking a motivated employee to join the Global Innovation Center (GIC) in Terneuzen. In this role, you will help address technical challenges related to the development of advanced specialty and sustainable material solutions. You will take on end-to-end responsibility, from understanding and translating requirements to designing manufacturing and test equipment, conducting trials, and performing analyses. By supporting ongoing R&D activities, you will play an important role in strengthening Trinseo’s business growth and enhancing GIC Terneuzen’s capabilities in polymer/composite processing, manufacturing technology, and testing . This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to innovative material and process development while gaining deep technical experience within a leading global research environment. Responsibilities Lead technical investigations and develop advanced manufacturing technologies, such as injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, and compression molding and overmolding for new formulations, materials, and applications Translate internal and external customer requirements into practical solutions for manufacturing, testing, and quality control Develop specialized physical and mechanical test methods to meet evolving technical needs Design, validate, operate, and maintain tailored manufacturing and test equipment Document and communicate trial results accurately and comprehensively Actively contribute to cross-functional projects involving R&D, and customers Steer DoE with internal and external stakeholders Work closely with technologists to establish correlations between process, morphology, and material performance Qualifications Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, polymer engineering, plastics engineering, or a related field with a focus on mechanics and polymer processing Minimum Experience: 1-3 years work experience are preferred Familiarity with polymer processing and testing Experience in machine design and automation Experience in composite is a strong plus Proficiency in CAD, programming, and PLC system Enjoyment of hands-on lab work and problem solving Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Curious mindset with a genuine interest in learning new materials, techniques, and equipment Strong communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus Equity And Inclusion With our expanding global presence, cross-cultural insight and competence are essential for our ongoing success.
