About The Role Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its CAD Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling mission-critical engineering platforms utilized by thousands of engineers across various domains including CPU, DSP, AI, SoC, Physical Design, Verification, and Software organizations. Your primary focus will be on creating modern web applications, automation platforms, data services, and AI-enabled solutions that enhance engineering productivity and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across the entire technology stack—from crafting intuitive front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript to developing robust backend services with Python, Node.js, and related technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will influence architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor junior engineers, contributing to Qualcomm’s ongoing innovation efforts. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development is required, with demonstrated expertise in full stack web application development. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js is essential, along with experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Candidates should have a solid understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems. Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB, is necessary. Familiarity with Linux environments, Git workflows, and performance troubleshooting is also expected. Preferred qualifications include experience supporting EDA, CAD, high-performance computing, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AI/ML integrations. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications used across engineering organizations.Create modern web user interfaces utilizing React, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend frameworks.Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, FastAPI, Express, or similar technologies.Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange.Build and optimize large-scale data platforms leveraging SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.Develop automation workflows to improve engineering productivity, infrastructure management, analytics, and reporting capabilities.Partner with infrastructure teams to deploy and operate applications within Kubernetes and containerized environments.Create dashboards, reporting platforms, and data visualization tools to support engineering decision-making.Integrate AI/ML and large language model (LLM) technologies into internal workflows to enhance automation and insights.Lead software architecture discussions, review technical designs, and establish best practices for the team.Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues in production environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
