Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and evolving our cloud native services supporting Ford retail consumers. This critical application leverages Jav Springboot, GCP Cloud Run, and cloud-native technologies to deliver optimal customer experience. You will drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our core systems. Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable microservices architectures and desktop applications for the vehicle integration platform. Develop Spring Boot/Java API/microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilizing GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Pub/Sub, and more. Champion engineering best practices, including code reviews, adherence to architectural principles, and the development of reusable frameworks and components. Experience in Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Drive the implementation of comprehensive observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks (SLOs/SLIs) to ensure the performance, reliability, and availability of critical systems. Lead performance engineering initiatives, including proactive bottleneck identification, capacity planning, and the establishment of performance baselines and benchmarks.Serve as a Deliver software frequently using Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) Work with team members to establish best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize risk. Interact and work closely with product managers to devise solutions and break them into incremental production-ready user stories. Executing API Load and Performance (L&P) on API/modules developed. Use DevOps tools such as Tekton, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fossa, and GitHub to deploy, improve and manage software.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering5+ years of software engineering experience3+ years of experience with GCP, Cloud Run, Spring Boot, and JavaExperience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and eXtreme Programming as an Anchor and Team leadExperience in launching large scale global API’s on cloud technologies such as Azure and GCPStrong understanding of microservices and optimizing them for resiliency and performanceStrong understanding of Identity Products (IDP) such as IBM Security Verify and Azure AD B2CAgile software engineering practices - TDD, CI/CD, Refactoring, Clean Code, Pairing/MobbingDeveloping and publishing APIs with Swagger docs in Apigee and APIM. This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $99,600-$146,600., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$162,900.
