Position Overview SteerBridge is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the Modern Disability Claims modernization program in Vienna, VA. This role will contribute to the development of next-generation claims analytics and operational software solutions supporting mission-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience developing modern full-stack applications and working within collaborative engineering environments that leverage cloud technologies, AI/ML capabilities, and modern software-development practices. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack TypeScript applicationsSupport the productionization of AI/ML-driven capabilities and analytics solutionsCollaborate with engineering, data science, and mission stakeholdersParticipate in peer code reviews and software quality-assurance activitiesContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation effortsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defectsDeliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutionsWork within Agile development environments to support mission objectives Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship requiredMust hold or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance; an active Secret or Top Secret clearance also satisfies this requirementBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experienceStrong experience with React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and JavaScript (ES6+)Experience with MERN or PERN stack technologies, including MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQLExperience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software-development practicesFamiliarity with Docker and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationStrong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting healthcare, insurance, defense, or federal programsExperience working with AI/ML-enabled applicationsCloud-platform experience with AWS or AzureExperience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments Benefits Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with matchingPaid Time OffPaid Federal Holidays SteerBridge is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
