Role Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and optimization of real‑time embedded location software in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver world‑class GNSS and location solutions. Key Responsibilities Include Design, develop, review, and maintain real‑time embedded software in C and assembly languageDevelop software within a multi‑threaded architecture, including inter‑process communication and multiple SW/FW interfacesCollaborate with hardware teams to verify hardware features and debug hardware‑related issuesCollaborate with systems teams on algorithm development, digital signal processing, and implementationWork closely with test teams to diagnose and resolve system‑level functional and performance issuesContribute to software architecture, system design discussions, and development methodologyOptimize software for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, and debugging medium to large‑scale real‑time embedded systemsStrong programming experience in CSolid understanding of real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and multi‑threaded software designExperience with ARM‑based development and debugging tools (e.g., TRACE32)Strong software engineering fundamentals and adherence to sound development processesAbility to work effectively in a team environment and understand end‑to‑end system goalsBackground in digital signal processingUnderstanding of GNSS receiver concepts and operationExperience with GNSS measurement engine receiver designHands‑on experience with GNSS signal acquisition and tracking, including acquisition and tracking loopsFamiliarity with GNSS navigation algorithms, state machines, and optimization techniquesKnowledge of WWAN technologies (WCDMA, LTE, 5G) or other communication protocolsExperience with MATLAB, and/or scripting languages such as Python or PerlExperience in MIPS profiling, memory optimization, and power optimizationSelf‑driven, fast learner with a passion for innovative and scalable software solutions Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer. Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits $129,300.00 - $193,900.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
