About The Job Honeywell Building Automation team is looking for a motivated Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Team in the Netherlands. Are you experienced in planning and managing IT infrastructures and looking to grow in the field of cybersecurity? Do you have solid knowledge in network design, firewalls, and virtualization, and are eager to take on responsibility in challenging projects? Then you’re in the right place! In this role, you will work with our Building Automation Cybersecurity team, gaining hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity scenarios. You will report to the DACH/Benelux ICT/Cybersecurity Operation and work as part of a European / global Team. Your Key Responsibilities Design, implementation, and operation of modern IT infrastructures (network, servers, virtualization).Configuration and maintenance of firewalls and network components (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWALL).Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows client/server operating systems and applications.Administration and management of Active Directory (user, group, and GPO management).Participation in IT security projects and technical risk analyses.Support in the introduction of new technologies and solutions.Documentation and quality assurance of IT systems.Collaboration with internal and external partners. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldCompleted training as an IT specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification.Several years of professional experience managing complex IT systems (server/client).In-depth knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking standards such as IEEE 802.11 and Ethernet.Network Configuration and Management:Experience in configuring and managing various networking devices such as routers, switches, and access points.Proficiency in VLAN configuration, routing protocols (e.g.,Layer 3), and QoS (Quality of Service) settings.Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Active Directory, client and server operating systems).Solid understanding of network architecture, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, Azure), and IT security.Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and storage systems.Ability to security policies, conducting risk assessments, and aligning systems with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.Team player with strong communication skills and initiative.Excellent Dutch and good English skills, both written and spoken.
