Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in VMware automation to help design, implement, and migrate our infrastructure automation platform.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with vCenter VM provisioning using vRealize Automation (vRA) and SaltStack, and will play a key role in migrating the existing vRA-based setup to Terraform and Ansible.
Strong Linux and Windows administration skills, along with modern DevOps tooling knowledge, are essential.
Job Accountabilities:
Infrastructure Automation
Automate VM provisioning on VMware vCenter using vRealize Automation (vRA) integrated with SaltStackDesign and maintain scalable, reusable automation workflows for VM lifecycle managementIntegrate OS-level configuration and post-provisioning tasks using Salt, Ansible, or similar toolsMigration & Modernization:
Assess existing vRA-based automation and workflowsSupport and manage the existing vRA-based automationLead the migration from vRA to Terraform and Ansible with minimal service disruptionRefactor legacy blueprints into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform modulesImplement Ansible playbooks for configuration management and application deploymentOS Administration & Automation:
Advanced Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administrationAutomate OS hardening, patching, user management, and system configurationTroubleshoot OS-level, network, and performance issuesVmware & Platform Engineering:
