Role Description
As a Software Engineer – Frontend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain user-facing features for the HexBau platform, ensuring a responsive, accessible, and intuitive experience for industrial site stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, and UX/UI designers to translate requirements into clean, modular, and maintainable frontend code.
Daily tasks include implementing new components, optimizing performance, integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs, writing tests, and participating in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
You will also help improve frontend architecture, contribute to documentation, and support troubleshooting and bug fixes in production environments.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hesse, Germany.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), using modern languages and frameworks relevant to frontend development (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Vue, or similar).Experience in Software Development and Back-End Web Development sufficient to collaborate effectively on API integration, debugging, and end-to-end feature delivery.Hands-on experience building production-grade web frontends, including state management, routing, and responsive UI implementation.Knowledge of web standards, HTML5, CSS3, accessibility best practices, and performance optimization techniques.Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).Ability to work on-site in Hesse, Germany, in a collaborative, cross-functional environment; strong communication skills in English, with German language skills as a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with industrial, construction, or EHS-related software products is beneficial but not required.
