We are partnering with an established company in Cyprus to recruit an experienced Release / DevOps Engineer to join its IT – DevOps team in Limassol.
This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps professional who enjoys automation, infrastructure management, release engineering, and improving the stability and reliability of production environments.
You will play a key role in configuration, environment, change, and release management, working closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Network Security teams to ensure smooth and reliable software deployments.
🔧 Key ResponsibilitiesAutomate provisioning, configuration, installation, and monitoring across environmentsEnsure consistent software versions and configuration standards across all environmentsConfigure and maintain new servers according to established standardsDevelop automation for configuration changes and environment managementManage, maintain, and monitor development, testing, staging, and production environmentsTroubleshoot environment-related issues and ensure system stability and availabilityAutomate environment provisioning and configuration changes in collaboration with technical teamsManage the change and release management process and identify opportunities for continuous improvementFacilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetingsIdentify risks, dependencies, and potential blockers throughout the release cycleImprove release cycle times and streamline deployment processesExecute production releases and rollbacks during approved operational release windowsParticipate in the weekend on-call rotationIdentify, investigate, and escalate operational issues when requiredCollaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Network Security teams to maintain production and system reliability following deployments
💻 Requirements & Technical Skills3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or SRE roleHands-on experience managing both Windows and Linux serversComfortable working with terminal and command-line environmentsExperience configuring custom/in-house Windows services and IIS websitesPractical experience with AWSStrong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with configuration management and provisioning using AnsibleKnowledge of Kubernetes / Amazon EKSExperience with ArgoCD is an advantageScripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or PythonExperience with GitLab CI/CD or a similar CI/CD platformBasic understanding of networking concepts, including protocols, ports, firewall rules, and subnettingStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesGood command of English, both written and spokenWillingness to participate in a weekend on-call rotation
