This position is hybrid, offering the flexibility to work remotely while engaging with the team in our Glasgow or Dundee offices two days a week. You will operate at an influential level, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable, maintainable, and secure backend systems. Your expertise will help ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products that meet client needs and industry standards. Beyond coding, you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding best practices in software architecture, security, and testing. Qualifications A proven track record of delivering complex digital products, demonstrating strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.Deep, practical experience with .NET C# development, including building scalable backend systems.Familiarity with modern cloud platforms and tools such as Azure, Durable Functions, Event sourcing, SQL, and Docker.Strong understanding of SOLID principles, maintainability, and industry-standard security practices.Excellent communication skills with a supportive and encouraging style, capable of mentoring team members and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.Experience with front-end frameworks like React.js is a plus, adding versatility to your skill set.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, balancing speed and quality in delivery.
