About The Role As an Azure Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) at netgo group GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge cloud infrastructures based on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise will enable us to develop scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud solutions tailored to our clients' needs. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of cloud projects—from architecture and migration to operation and optimization—ensuring that our cloud environments are resilient, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. Your deep understanding of network architecture and security will be essential in building hybrid and multi-cloud environments that meet the highest standards of performance and security. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including project management, security, compliance, and application development, to deliver innovative cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technological best practices. Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess several years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar capacity, with relevant certifications such as AZ 104 / AZ 305 being highly desirable. A strong foundation in Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, governance, and management services, is essential. You should have in-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, Blob Storage, VNet, Load Balancer, and Azure Firewall, among others. In addition, a solid understanding of traditional networking concepts—including routing, switching, VLANs, VPN technologies, and hybrid network architectures—is required. Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI will be advantageous. You should demonstrate a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach, with excellent communication skills in German and good proficiency in English. Your ability to take responsibility, prioritize quality, and continuously learn new technologies will be key to your success. Responsibilities Design, develop, and document scalable, high-availability cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure that meet client requirements and industry standards.Create detailed architecture concepts, solution designs, operational procedures, and migration strategies to ensure seamless cloud adoption.Plan and execute cloud migrations, including Lift & Shift, Re-Platforming, and Re-Architecting projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.Establish and manage Azure Landing Zones in accordance with the Cloud Adoption Framework, continuously optimizing and expanding them.Implement cost management strategies, utilizing Azure Cost Management and FinOps principles to optimize resource utilization and control expenses.Design and implement network structures within Azure, including VNet, peering, VPN, ExpressRoute, load balancers, application gateways, and Azure Front Door.Integrate on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, implementing Zero-Trust security architectures to safeguard infrastructure.Develop and enforce network security and identity management concepts, such as NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, RBAC, and Conditional Access policies.Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to ensure platform stability and performance.Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to guarantee service availability and data integrity.Provide expert advice to internal teams and clients regarding Azure architecture and cloud strategies.Conduct workshops, architecture reviews, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and technical presentations to facilitate knowledge sharing and project alignment.Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions with existing IT infrastructure and applications.
