Backend Developer - .NET

Position: Backend Developer – .NET Department: Neo Assure Insurtech Level: Mid-Level Reports To: Tech Lead / Project Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled .NET Backend Developer with 3–4 years of professional experience to develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems for the company's digital insurance platform. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, database solutions, and system integrations supporting customers, insurance agents, and internal business operations. The role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and the capability to independently manage assigned modules while collaborating with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, Product, QA, and other teams. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend applications using C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core.Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.Develop scalable and maintainable backend architecture and services.Design, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data models.Integrate systems with insurance companies, payment gateways, third-party APIs, and external systems.Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and API security.Ensure secure handling of customer, agent, policy, payment, and other sensitive business data.Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth API and application integration.Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective backend solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and production issues.Perform API testing, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.Maintain technical documentation for APIs, databases, integrations, and backend processes.Participate in code reviews and follow development standards and best practices.Support application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production releases.Review existing systems and recommend improvements for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.3–4 years of professional experience in .NET backend development.Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.Good understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.Experience with Git and version control.Understanding of Azure or other cloud platforms.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.Good knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI.Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum development practices.Ability to independently manage assigned modules and deliver within deadlines.
