Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain core backend services that power PPLIED’s matching and automation engine.
This full-time remote role involves architecting scalable systems, implementing robust APIs, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability and security across the platform.
The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to translate requirements into high-quality code, conduct code reviews, and mentor other engineers.
Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, improving existing features, contributing to technical roadmaps, and participating in agile ceremonies.
The role also includes evaluating new technologies, promoting engineering best practices, and helping shape the overall technical direction of PPLIED’s platform.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming with modern languages and frameworks.Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including API design, databases, and cloud services.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and patterns.5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably in high-traffic web or SaaS products.Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and performance optimization is highly beneficial.Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment with strong communication and documentation skills.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
