About The Role
The Software Engineer - Full Stack role builds and operates user-facing products across the application stack, from responsive React and TypeScript interfaces to backend services, APIs, and data systems.
The team works with technologies such as Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure to deliver reliable product experiences used at meaningful scale.
This role is suited to an engineer who can move comfortably between frontend and backend work, make sound architectural tradeoffs, and take features from technical design through production monitoring.
The position is based in New York, NY with a hybrid working model and close collaboration across product, design, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design and ship end-to-end product features using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and REST or GraphQL APIsBuild scalable backend services and data access layers with Python or Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud-managed infrastructureDevelop accessible, responsive user interfaces and reusable frontend components supported by automated unit and integration testsDefine API contracts, database schemas, and service boundaries in collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineersImprove application performance, reliability, and security through profiling, observability, code reviews, and production incident follow-upDeploy and operate services using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCPDocument technical decisions and contribute to engineering standards around testing, monitoring, release practices, and maintainable system design
What We Are Looking For
3–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production applicationsStrong TypeScript and React experience, including component architecture, state management, responsive design, and frontend testingProfessional backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or a comparable language, plus hands-on REST or GraphQL API designSolid experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data migrationsFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, containerization, CI/CD, observability, and production debugging in AWS, GCP, or Azure environmentsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceBonus: Experience with mobile applications, event-driven systems, Kubernetes, feature flags, distributed systems, or designing products used by millions of users
