Join an innovative AI hardware start-up | UK Remote This exciting start-up is developing a fundamentally new approach to AI infrastructure, building hardware capable of accessing and traversing large-scale knowledge structures at machine speed. The team are now looking for a Systems Software Engineer to build the software foundation that enables developers to integrate this novel hardware into real AI workloads. You’ll work across the boundary between hardware and software, owning the runtime, SDK and APIs that interface with FPGA/ASIC hardware while focusing heavily on performance, developer experience and hardware/software co-design. For this Systems Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with: Strong experience developing C/C++ software on LinuxBackground in systems software, accelerator runtimes, FPGA, DPU, SmartNIC or custom siliconExperience with PCIe, DMA, memory-mapped I/O or similar hardware interfacesExperience working closely with FPGA or hardware engineering teamsStrong understanding of performance optimisation, benchmarking and profilingPython experience for SDK development, tooling or automationIdeally, experience developing runtime software, SDKs or APIs for novel hardware platforms What next?
