Description
About the AssignmentOur client is building a new, enterprise-grade OpenShift container platform deployed on Bare Metal infrastructure.
This initiative requires a highly skilled engineer with end-to-end experience in designing, integrating, and delivering OpenShift platforms, not just maintaining them.
The challenge lies in the seamless integration of multiple advanced technologies, including:
Security: AquaSec
Observability: Splunk
Storage: Portworx
Networking: CISCO components, Load Balancers, and BGP
Platform Management: ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS), Advanced Cluster Manager
Responsibilities
Build and deploy a fully integrated Bare Metal OpenShift platform ready for production use
Lead the technical integration of critical components (security, storage, monitoring, networking)
Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with enterprise infrastructure standards
Establish clear benchmarks for platform performance, observability, and reliability
Troubleshoot complex platform issues from design through to operations
Contribute to future-proofing and continuous improvement of the platform
Must-Have Skills
Extensive hands-on experience in building OpenShift platforms from scratch (Bare Metal preferred)
Deep technical expertise with ROSA, Advanced Cluster Manager, Portworx, Splunk, AquaSec
Strong understanding of enterprise networking (including BGP, ACI) and infrastructure integrations
Demonstrated ability to define monitoring and performance standards for container platforms
Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, and innovative thinking
Why This Opportunity Is UniqueThis is not a traditional platform maintenance role.
Our client is looking for someone who can lead the build of a complex OpenShift environment from the ground up, someone who brings depth, initiative, and architectural thinking to the table.
Additional InsightCVs often list tools and technologies at a surface level.
We're seeking professionals who can demonstrate deep implementation experience, such as:
