The role Join our Digital Twin team, a group of talented software and digital twin engineers passionate about driving sustainability through innovative technology. As a Python Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in strengthening and scaling our SaaS platform. Using modern design patterns, efficient algorithms and Python best practices, you'll help evolve our digital twin framework to be more robust, scalable and high-performing. Our high-level stack Python, AWS, UbiOps, DuckDB, MongoDB, Polars. What you'll be doing Design, build and deliver new platform features Refactor and optimise code to improve maintainability, performance and scalability Identify and implement software improvements and technical enhancements Develop efficient, high-performance solutions for data-intensive applications Enhance and maintain automated testing frameworks Help raise engineering standards and promote best practices across the team Collaborate closely with Back End and Front End engineers to deliver seamless solutions About you Proven experience in Python software development Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL Familiarity with AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot A collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Highly organised, detail-oriented and methodical in your approach BSc or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience Nice to have(s) Experience within the energy sector Exposure to machine learning solutions Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience developing or integrating REST APIs Why join?
