About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our Infrastructure Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Linux server environments, primarily based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), ensuring their stability, security, and efficiency. You will oversee the operation of Kubernetes clusters, facilitating the deployment and management of containerized applications, and contribute to the automation of routine tasks to enhance operational effectiveness. Your expertise will support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, enabling smooth and secure application deployments. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing security measures, adhering to ITIL processes, and supporting incident, change, and problem management workflows. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of IT infrastructure within a traditional yet innovative banking environment, shaping the future of our technology landscape. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a relevant IT degree or vocational training, complemented by extensive practical experience in Linux server administration and Kubernetes environments. Proven expertise in automating workflows using Ansible is essential, along with familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitLab. Experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, as well as working with Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of ITIL principles and their application in daily operations. Additional experience with hypervisors like VMware or Proxmox, and blade infrastructure, will be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, structured working approach, and excellent communication skills in German are required to succeed in this role. Responsibilities Operate and administer Linux servers based on RHEL, ensuring high availability and security.Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, guaranteeing reliable application deployment and operation.Automate repetitive tasks and operational processes to improve efficiency and standardization across infrastructure services.Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, ensuring controlled, reproducible, and secure deployments.Develop and maintain deployment configurations in Kubernetes, advancing GitOps practices.Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the IT infrastructure against emerging threats.Apply ITIL frameworks in incident, change, and problem management to ensure structured and effective service delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, application operations, and management, to deliver innovative solutions.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new tools and technologies.
