About The Role We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in London. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a secure environment supporting critical infrastructure. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing high-performing, secure services that underpin vital systems. The role involves problem-solving, automation, and working within an agile framework utilizing modern tooling and practices. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the infrastructure, supporting mission-critical operations in a high-stakes environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Valid and transferrable SC (Security Check) clearanceProven experience working in an "air gapped" environmentStrong background in issue resolution and implementing roadmap-driven enhancementsExtensive experience operating within production environments, particularly with on-premises Kubernetes and OpenShift deploymentsProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform integrated with CI/CD pipelines, preferably JenkinsHands-on experience with observability tools, including designing and managing end-to-end logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting systems using ELK stack, Splunk, or GrafanaKnowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Responsibilities The key responsibilities of this role include: Maintaining and supporting secure, reliable, and high-performance services within a critical infrastructure environmentImplementing automation solutions to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response processesManaging and optimizing on-premises Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability and performanceDesigning and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, integrating with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment workflowsDeveloping and maintaining observability dashboards, logs, and alerting systems to proactively monitor system health and performanceCollaborating with cross-functional teams to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutionsEnsuring compliance with security standards and best practices within a highly regulated environmentSupporting incident management and resolution, particularly P1 (Priority 1) incidents, to ensure continuous service availability Benefits Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth and personal well-being.
