About The Role We are seeking a skilled Mobile Developer specializing in React Native and Expo to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building and scaling our new digital platform, focusing on developing high-performance mobile applications for both Android and iOS devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX designers, backend developers, and QA specialists, to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences. Your contributions will directly influence the technological foundation of our digital initiatives and support ALDI SÜD's strategic goal of digital transformation. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in mobile application development using React Native and Expo, preferably within digital platform environments or growth-oriented companies. A solid understanding of modern software architecture, clean code principles, API design, testing, and performance optimization is essential. Experience working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams is highly desirable. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as Azure, and DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous. Strong communication skills in both German and English, coupled with a proactive and responsible work ethic, are required to succeed in this role. Responsibilities Design and actively contribute to the development of our new digital platform by creating scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile applications for Android and iOS using React Native and Expo.Collaborate closely with product owners, UX teams, backend developers, DevOps, and QA to ensure the delivery of top-tier digital user experiences.Take ownership of the entire engineering lifecycle, from technical conception and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.Implement modern development standards, automated testing, and conduct code reviews to maintain high software quality.Continuously enhance the architecture of our mobile applications, supporting scalability, performance, and ease of maintenance.Analyze app performance and stability metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.Contribute innovative ideas to improve user engagement, development workflows, and technical architecture, actively participating in their implementation.Leverage AI-powered tools to improve code quality, testing processes, documentation, and developer productivity.Maintain ownership of your solutions and assist the team in overcoming technical challenges to ensure project success.Utilize the tech stack effectively, including React Native, Expo, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Cloud services.
