Full Stack Engineer- Senior

Contract: September 21, 2026 – October 1, 2027 We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join a large-scale public-sector technology environment in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, integrating and supporting enterprise web applications, working across both front-end and back-end technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Java, modern front-end frameworks, REST APIs, relational databases and microservices, along with a strong understanding of secure web application development and scalable architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug and maintain large-scale, multi-client web applications.Translate technical specifications into high-quality, tested software solutions.Develop and integrate front-end and back-end components and RESTful APIs.Design and implement scalable web architectures and microservice-based solutions.Develop data-driven applications using Java and Oracle/SQL databases.Troubleshoot technical issues and provide post-implementation support.Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.Develop reusable, maintainable and testable software components.Integrate front-end applications with APIs and back-end services.Apply secure development practices and work with authentication/security protocols.Collaborate with functional and technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.Participate in design walkthroughs, technical discussions and solution development.Ensure applications meet WCAG/AODA accessibility requirements.Support continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps. Must-Have Qualifications 10+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.10+ years of hands-on experience with Java development using Oracle or SQL databases.5+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs / RESTful Web Services.Strong experience with:ReactTypeScriptHTML5 / CSS3Node.jsExperience with microservices architecture and core software architecture principles.Experience with RXJS, NextJS and/or VueJS.Proven experience with WCAG and AODA.Experience developing responsive web applications.Experience using Azure DevOps.Knowledge of security protocols and gateways, including JWT, OAuth 2.0 and SSL Certificates.Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, refactoring and clean code practices.Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle and/or SQL Server.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
