Description

About the Company WorthPoint is the internet's largest resource for researching and valuing antiques, art, and collectibles. Our Worthopedia® price guide gives collectors, dealers, and appraisers access to hundreds of millions of sold prices from auction houses and marketplaces worldwide. Behind that product is a data platform ingesting and enriching millions of items — and the infrastructure that keeps it fast, reliable, and secure is where you come in. About the Role We’re growing our DevOps team and looking for a junior engineer who wants to build a real cloud infrastructure career, not just watch one happen. You’ll work day-to-day on our CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and monitoring under the guidance of our senior DevOps engineers — and you’ll have a deliberate growth path toward owning infrastructure-as-code and AWS platform work as you develop. This is a hands-on role on a small team at a company where infrastructure work is visible and valued. You won’t be ticket #4,000 in a queue; the pipelines you improve ship product the same week. Responsibilities Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI as we complete our migration from Jenkins across 10+ servicesSupport deployments to AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS) across QA and production environmentsMonitor system health, respond to alerts, and help with incident triage and root-cause follow-upContribute to our Terraform codebase under review, growing toward independent infrastructure-as-code ownershipHelp with security hygiene: OS patching, AWS Security Hub remediation, dependency updatesWrite and improve runbooks and infrastructure documentation in ConfluenceUse AI tools and agentic assistants as a core part of your daily work — generating and reviewing code, writing tests, automating toil — and help turn one-off fixes into reusable agentic workflowsParticipate in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies with our engineering teams Qualifications 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, or a software engineering role with infrastructure exposure Working knowledge of Linux administration and shell scriptingFamiliarity with at least one CI/CD system (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)Exposure to AWS or another major cloud providerBasic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or GroovyComfort with Git and standard development workflowsAI-native engineering habits: you can explain how you use AI throughout the engineering lifecycle — generating and reviewing code, writing tests, automating work — including how you provide context to agentic assistants, decompose work into smaller tasks, verify outputs, and build reusable workflows rather than one-off promptsCuriosity, follow-through, and the willingness to say "I don’t know, but I’ll find out" Preferred Skills Agentic automation experience: you’ve built or implemented agents that perform multi-step operational tasks — not just generate text or code. For example: CI/CD automation, configuration drift detection and notification, cluster maintenance/triage/self-healing, cloud cost analysis, or automated PR creation, testing, and review. Candidates who can demo something like this go to the top of the pile.Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experienceDocker and container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes)Experience with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, or other data storesMonitoring and observability tooling (CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar)AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or SysOps) Pay range and compensation package $100,000 - $115,000 commiserate with experience
