Backend Engineer

The Impact You'll Make As our new Engineer – Backend, you’ll play a key role in building the cloud platform that powers Danfoss’ IoT solutions — from connecting devices and processing telemetry to supporting business-critical workflows. You’ll develop reliable, scalable backend services and reusable platform capabilities that help product teams across Danfoss build and deliver digital solutions faster. Your impact? You’ll help create the technology that enables connected products and digital services to work reliably at scale, while contributing to a platform that is continuously evolving through new technologies and smarter ways of working. You’ll collaborate with software engineers, senior technical experts, DevOps, Data Engineering and product teams, taking ownership of your solutions while learning from experienced colleagues and growing your backend and cloud expertise. What You’ll Be Doing Develop and maintain cloud-native backend services, delivering new features that continuously strengthen our Cloud Platform.Design and implement scalable, reliable backend solutions within an event-driven architecture.Collaborate with product teams and senior engineers to support the adoption and evolution of Platform Core Services.Contribute to continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle through code reviews, troubleshooting, documentation and better development practices.Use AI-assisted development tools and help optimize their output to improve efficiency and quality across different projects. What We're Looking For 2–4 years of professional experience developing cloud-native backend services, ideally in an event-driven architecture using Kafka.Strong experience with Go, combined with professional experience in TypeScript (NestJS) and Python.Experience building scalable, reliable and production-grade solutions, with good knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.Knowledge of MQTT and Sparkplug B is a strong advantage.Fluent English, with the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and work in an international engineering environment.
