Position Summary
The UX Engineer designs and develops user-centered digital experiences that support insurance product integrations and optimization initiatives across strategic partner channels.
Combining expertise in user experience design and front-end development, this role creates, implements, and enhances responsive digital solutions that align with partner requirements, business objectives, and UX best practices.
Serving as a core technical resource within cross-functional teams, the UX Engineer translates business and user requirements into effective designs and production-ready code.
This position is responsible for developing prototypes, user interfaces, and reusable components while actively contributing to design system standards, accessibility compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Architect, prototype, and build responsive, user-centered digital interfaces and components for partner insurance product integrations.Front-End Engineering: Translate UX/UI design wireframes and user workflows into clean, maintainable, production-ready code.Design System & Standards: Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of enterprise design system standards, ensuring UI consistency across channel integrations.Accessibility & Compliance: Ensure all digital solutions adhere to modern accessibility standards (WCAG) and UX best practices.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical bridge between design, product, and engineering teams to validate technical feasibility and execute partner requirements.Optimization & Testing: Iterate on existing interfaces based on user feedback, performance analytics, and strategic channel goals to drive continuous digital experience improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience bridging UX/UI design and front-end software engineering.Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue).Hands-on experience building and maintaining reusable UI component libraries and design systems.Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).Solid understanding of digital accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1+) and responsive web design principles.Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Experience in financial services, insurance, or partner-facing software integration environments is a plus.
