Technical Delivery Lead — £40,000+pa depending on experience Full-time | Fully remote | UK-based only Thornacre Engineering builds WordPress and PHP-based websites and digital applications for public sector organizations across the UK. We’re looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to take ownership of the day-to-day technical delivery of our digital projects. This is a hands-on role combining software engineering, technical leadership, project delivery and client communication. You’ll: * Lead the technical delivery of WordPress and PHP projects * Work directly with clients throughout delivery * Coordinate closely with designers and developers * Write production code across WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS * Review pull requests and support junior engineers * Keep technical, design and project documentation accurate and up to date * Help plan work, manage priorities and keep projects moving * Maintain high standards across code quality, testing and deployment * Report directly to the Technical Director We’re looking for someone with: * Around 3+ years’ relevant commercial experience * Strong WordPress and PHP development experience * Experience with Git and pull-request-based workflows * Confidence reviewing other developers’ code * Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking directly with clients * The ability to take ownership of delivery while remaining hands-on technically * Good organization and attention to detail Salary: £40,000+ per year depending on experience Location: Fully remote, but you must be based in the UK Employment: Full-time, permanent
