Front End Engineer
About the Role
An established law firm is seeking a talented Front End Engineer with strong React experience to join its front-end team.
You will contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of performant, scalable web applications while turning product requirements and Figma designs into polished, user-focused experiences.
You will collaborate closely with design, product, and back-end engineering teams, participate in code reviews and testing, and help strengthen internal tooling and design system consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain performant, scalable React components across web applications.Translate Figma designs and product requirements into polished user interfaces.Apply thoughtful UX principles when developing front-end experiences.Collaborate with design, product, and back-end engineering teams to implement features.Participate in code reviews, testing, and QA cycles.Improve internal front-end tooling.Contribute to consistency across design systems and component libraries.Develop and maintain single-page applications and data-driven dashboards.Support application performance and maintainability.Required Qualifications
2–4 years of front-end development experience with React or a similar framework such as Vue or Angular.Professional experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript.Deep understanding of React concepts, including hooks, context, component composition, and best practices.Experience building single-page applications and data-driven dashboards.Strong understanding of responsive design principles.Understanding of cross-browser compatibility.Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous data-handling patterns.Familiarity with data-fetching and caching libraries such as React Query or SWR.Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems and component libraries.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and their application to front-end architecture.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload.Wired Ethernet is preferred for reliable connectivity.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a startup environment.Experience in legal technology, CRM, or health/insurance platforms.Familiarity with TailwindCSS or similar UI/component libraries.Experience with Formik, React Hook Form, or similar form-handling libraries.Comfort working with Git and modern CI/CD environments.Knowledge of accessibility best practices.Experience with performance optimization.Exposure to AI/LLM-based tools.Skills & Competencies
