About The Role GrabJobs is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our expanding SaaS development team. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated cloud-based enterprise software that enhances the hiring experience for organizations worldwide. As a hands-on technical leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guiding the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. This remote position offers flexibility, with occasional in-person meetings in select metro areas, including Maison, WI, Chicago, IL, San Francisco, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, or Salt Lake City. Candidates must reside in the United States, as visa sponsorship or extensions are not available for this role. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, with extensive expertise in PHP, particularly PHP 8.x, and frameworks such as Laravel. Proven experience in building scalable SaaS platforms, RESTful API development, and object-oriented programming is essential. Additionally, a strong background in JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience, is required. Familiarity with TypeScript, single-page application architecture, and state management is also important. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Git, agile methodologies, and modern build tools like Vite and npm. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, serverless environments, data analytics, and testing frameworks like PHPUnit or Pest. A proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment are critical for success. Responsibilities As a Lead Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and developing a scalable, efficient, and secure SaaS product utilizing PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and Tailwind CSS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the product aligns with business and customer needs, adhering to industry best practices related to performance, security, and energy efficiency. Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback will be key to maintaining high-quality code standards. You will troubleshoot complex platform issues, optimize system performance, and ensure a seamless user experience. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends will enable you to recommend innovative solutions for future projects. Your role will involve participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic direction of software development at GrabJobs, emphasizing solutions that support sustainable energy practices and decarbonization efforts. Benefits GrabJobs offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary annual bonuses.
