Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
As an Associate Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software programs in accordance to requirements and specifications, established or defined quality and performance standards, and within delivery timelines.
The technologies that you will be working with to develop software programs include but not limited to JAVA/J2EE, Spring Framework, .NET, Entity Framework, the ASP.NET MVC Framework, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), RESTful API and Azure.
You will develop and maintain Java-based applications using Java 21+, Spring Framework, Gradle, and modern software engineering practices.Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and data integration solutions, MySQL, designing efficient queries and supporting data processing requirements.Troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis across production and non-production environments.You will also contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps initiatives, cloud-native development, and application observability.Collaborate with Development Leads to estimate, design, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.Explore the use of Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.This role is reporting to: Development Team Lead
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.Knowledge of Java 21+, Spring Framework, JDBC, and Object-Oriented Programming principles.Experience with data structures, algorithms, software engineering principles, and scalable application design.Experience to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL optimisation, and data modelling concepts.Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, gRPC, and microservices architecture.Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, software testing, and automated deployment pipelines.Interest in designing reliable, resilient, and observable systems that support large-scale data processing and business-critical applications.Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile development methodologies.Exposure to Generative AI technologies, AI-assisted development tools, or integrating AI capabilities into applications.Experience through internships, academic projects, personal projects, hackathons, or work experience is welcome.Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems and debugging skills, with the ability to evaluate solutions and translate our requirements into practical technical outcomes.
