What You Will Do Build and maintain core backend systems that power platform operations, including contracts, payouts, and fraud-related workflowsDesign and implement identity and access management systems to ensure secure, just-in-time access across the platformTranslate complex operational requirements into scalable, reliable backend servicesImprove system reliability, security, and performance across foundational infrastructureCollaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to support high-impact platform initiativesContribute to internal tooling and platform improvements that enhance developer productivity and system robustnessOperate in a fast-moving environment, flexing across teams and priorities as needed Ideal Background 4+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems at scaleStrong backend engineering skills in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, etc.)Experience designing APIs, data models, and scalable service architecturesAbility to work through ambiguity and deliver practical, reliable solutions quicklyStrong ownership mindset with experience building foundational systemsSolid understanding of system reliability, performance, and security best practices Preferred Experience with identity, access control, or enterprise access management systemsFamiliarity with security and authentication/authorization patternsExperience working on platform or infrastructure teamsExposure to high-scale systems or data-intensive applicationsBackground in fast-paced startup environments Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $130K – $400K + meaningful equityBi-annual performance bonusesRelocation support (up to $15K) and housing stipend ($10K)Monthly stipends for meals, wellness, and personal expensesPremium health, dental, and vision coverageFitness membership and additional lifestyle perksHigh-ownership environment with exposure to mission-critical platform systemsThis role is ideal for backend engineers who enjoy building foundational systems, solving complex infrastructure problems, and owning core platform components that enable secure, scalable operations at a rapidly growing AI company.
