Role Description The Game Developer will design, implement, and optimize gameplay features that connect real-world soccer training with immersive digital experiences.
Day-to-day responsibilities include programming core game systems, collaborating with designers on game mechanics, integrating AI-driven features, and ensuring smooth performance across supported platforms.
The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to prototype new concepts, troubleshoot issues, and refine user experiences based on player feedback and data.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB.
Qualifications
Strong programming fundamentals with experience in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Demonstrated ability in Game Programming and Gameplay Programming for interactive or real-time applications.Knowledge of Game Design principles, including player experience, balancing, and systems design.Experience with at least one modern game engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal) and relevant frameworks.Familiarity with AI or data-driven features in games is an asset.Comfort working in a collaborative, on-site environment and engaging with multidisciplinary teams.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to iterate quickly on feedback.Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Interest in soccer, sports analytics, or sports technology is highly beneficial.
