Following the acquisition by Zhejiang Yinlun Co., Ltd., Yinlun TDI has further strengthened its engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities in the United States. Position Overview We are seeking an Application Engineer (SD/CRM) to support and progressively take ownership of SAP SD, CRM, EDI, and related customer order-fulfillment processes across Yinlun TDI’s North American operations. Yinlun TDI is implementing SAP S/4HANA together with an integrated system landscape that includes WMS, MES, SRM, CRM, IQC, and other connected applications across the United States and Mexico. This role will provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support, troubleshoot transactional and interface issues, support users, and help maintain reliable day-to-day business operations. This is a growth-oriented role designed to develop into an internal Level 3 functional owner over time, with increasing responsibility for configuration, functional specifications, system design decisions, and reduced reliance on external consultants. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary application support contact for SAP SD, CRM, EDI, and customer order-fulfillment processes.Support Sales, Customer Service, Program Management, Shipping, and Logistics users.Own assigned support tickets from intake through resolution or escalation.Document business impact, troubleshooting performed, and final resolution.Prioritize issues affecting customer releases, order processing, shipping, ASN transmission, invoicing, and other customer-facing processes.Participate in escalation and after-hours support during cutovers, hypercare, major releases, and critical business incidents.Develop deep functional knowledge of SAP SD, CRM, EDI, customer master data, pricing, scheduling agreements, deliveries, shipping, billing, and related integrations.Maintain functional configuration, process flows, interface documentation, customer-specific requirements, and key decision records.Support data quality for customer, ship-to, customer-material, pricing, scheduling-agreement, EDI partner, packaging, labeling, and related master data.Understand integration with PP, MM/WMS, FI, MES, and other systems while maintaining primary ownership of the SD/CRM/EDI area.Monitor and troubleshoot SAP IDocs, EDI transmissions, middleware jobs, customer portal interfaces, CRM integrations, WMS shipping interfaces, and related batch jobs.Diagnose issues involving customer demand, scheduling agreements, sales orders, deliveries, ASNs, invoices, acknowledgments, master data, mappings, and blocked SAP documents.Trace transactions across system boundaries and identify the point of failure.Coordinate resolution with application, infrastructure, network, and vendor teams.Identify recurring failures and drive corrective actions through configuration, master-data, process, or interface improvements.Support SAP S/4HANA and connected-system implementations through requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, configuration validation, testing, defect management, and retesting.Coordinate integration testing and UAT with business users.Support cutover, data validation, migration, EDI setup, interface activation, go-live, and hypercare.Support future releases, upgrades, enhancements, and additional site deployments.Build and maintain operational reports, queries, and dashboards.Investigate discrepancies involving orders, deliveries, shipping, ASNs, billing, CRM, and EDI.Maintain work instructions, quick-reference guides, known-error documentation, and user training materials.Train and support business users, key users, and super users.Support application roles, authorizations, and periodic access reviews.Progress toward Level 3 capability by taking ownership of defined configuration areas and writing functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.Equivalent practical experience in ERP support within manufacturing may be considered.Professional Experience Two or more years of experience supporting an ERP system in a live production environment with hands-on ticket ownership.Candidates with three to five years of experience and demonstrated depth in one functional area may be considered at the higher end of the role.Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or ECC at the transaction and process level in at least one relevant functional area.Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment with direct exposure to production, warehouse, or quality operations.Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience strongly preferred.Skills Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce, or record-to-report.Structured troubleshooting ability, including reproducing issues, isolating root causes, and verifying fixes.Ability to read application and interface error logs and use the information to resolve issues.Practical understanding of ERP integration with systems such as WMS, MES, CRM, SRM, quality systems, and EDI.Strong reporting and data analysis skills.Ability to write or read SQL queries and work confidently in advanced Excel.Experience working with ticketing systems and defined service levels.Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish.Ability to travel approximately 20–30% between Houston and Mexico sites.Ability to work planned off-hours for cutovers, go-lives, hypercare, physical inventory, and period close.Valid passport and eligibility to obtain relevant business visas.Legally authorized to work in the country of hire without sponsorship.Strong interest in developing into a functional-technical Level 3 role. Preferred Qualifications SAP certification in the relevant module, or an SAP certification path already underway.Direct experience with an SAP S/4HANA implementation or rollout.Hands-on experience with WMS, MES, supplier portals, CRM, or quality/inspection systems integrated with ERP.Automotive EDI experience including scheduling agreements, releases, ASNs, invoices, and customer-specific requirements.Familiarity with SAP integration technologies including IDocs, BAPIs, RFC, SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, and API-based interfaces.Ability to read ABAP and use the debugger at an analysis level.Exposure to Fiori, CDS views, or embedded analytics.Experience in an IATF 16949 environment.TISAX or ISO 27001 awareness.Lean, Six Sigma, APICS CPIM/CSCP, or ITIL Foundation certification.Experience within a Chinese- or Asian-headquartered multinational.Conversational Mandarin is an advantage but not required.
