Software Developer, C# / .NET / Azure

Software Developer C# | .NET | Azure | SQL Cambridge | Hybrid, 1 / 2 days on site. £50,000 to £60,000 We are working with an innovative healthcare technology business that is expanding its software and digital capabilities. They are looking for a Software Developer to join the team and help build applications that support laboratory operations, cloud platforms and diagnostic products. This is a predominantly backend focused position, developing APIs, data access layers, business logic and integrations. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to frontend development when required. The software you build will be used within a healthcare environment and contribute directly to improving clinical and patient outcomes. What you will be doing • Designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and services • Building new product features and improving existing platforms • Developing APIs, integrations and backend services • Investigating and resolving software issues • Writing clean, maintainable and well documented code • Contributing to automated testing, code reviews and technical discussions • Supporting cloud deployments and software releases • Working with Azure, Docker and CI/CD pipelines • Collaborating with developers, scientists and other technical stakeholders • Supporting software developed within a regulated environment What we are looking for • Commercial software development experience using C# and .NET • Experience with ASP.NET Core • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge • Experience developing REST APIs and web applications • An understanding of object oriented design and software engineering principles • Experience using Git and modern development practices • The ability to investigate and solve technical problems independently • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn Experience with Azure, Docker, TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines or regulated industries would be beneficial, although you do not need to have everything listed. You will be joining a collaborative and multidisciplinary business where software development has a clear purpose and genuine impact.
