What you'll do:
Build & Scale: design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs that power our platform.
Own the Data: work with databases end to end — structure, optimization and integrity — so the product stays fast and reliable as we grow.
Collaborate: partner closely with product, design and engineering to ship features that matter.
Optimize: monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously strengthen our backend infrastructure.
Innovate: bring ideas to the table on technical challenges and where the product goes next.
Who you are:
Experienced: 6+ years building backend systems, backed by strong academic foundations (mandatory).
A versatile backend engineer, comfortable working across more than one programming language.
Skilled at designing clean, reliable APIs and services.
Fluent in modern development tools and workflows.
A problem-solver who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges.
A team player with a collaborative mindset who thrives in startup environments.
Fluent in English (mandatory).
Available hybrid, with 2 days/week in our Lisbon office (mandatory).
Holds a valid visa/work permit for Portugal (mandatory).
