GCP DevOps Engineer 💰 £400/day (Inside IR35) 📍London (2/3 days in office per week) 📅 1 year Contract Our client is looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to design, automate and manage enterprise-grade cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, cloud security, monitoring and platform reliability, working closely with Data Engineering, Application Development, Architecture and Operations teams. The Role Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and release automation. Automate application and data platform deployments. Manage source control integration and release orchestration. Deploy and manage workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Implement Kubernetes security, scaling, monitoring and cluster lifecycle management. Configure Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and alerting. Develop dashboards, health checks and operational reporting. Define SLI/SLO metrics and support reliability practices. Support incident management, root cause analysis and production problem resolution. Automate operational tasks and infrastructure maintenance. Perform performance tuning and cloud cost optimisation. Support production deployments and critical incidents. Essential Skills GCP / Google Cloud Platform Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Kubernetes Docker Terraform / Infrastructure as Code Compute Engine Cloud Storage Cloud SQL Git Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI CI/CD and deployment automation Cloud monitoring, logging and observability Desirable Experience with cloud migration or data modernisation programmes. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience working in global and multi-vendor environments. Strong stakeholder communication skills.
