Clojure Developer

We've been retained to work exclusively in support of our client as they look to build out their current functional programming team, with the addition of a new Clojure developer. We're looking for an intellectually curious clojure developer to join this muliti-award winning fintech with offices in both London and New York. The successful applicant will have the option to work ideally in a hybrid set up with time needed, by negotiation, at our client's London office. The client would also consider the potential of an applicant working 100% remote. The applicant must be based in the UK, with full right to work in the UK. Essential skills for the role STEM based bachelors degree preferredCandidates with higher level degrees of education welcomedMinimum 5 years' commercial experience software engineering with Clojure - other functional programming languages considered (for example Haskell, OCaml, Rust, Lisp) but Clojure is the primary development tool in houseComfortable building APIsComfortable working with relational databasesCloud experience (ideally AWS but other cloud technologies also seriously considered)Product-driven mindset to engineeringGiven the hybrid / remote nature of the role, strong communication skills alongside the ability to work on initiative Bonus for the role (though not mandatory) Experience of working on DSLsCommercial experience working with both Clojure and Haskell Deliverables Include enhancement and further development of our client's award winning fintech platformDevelopment of the current technical architecture and design to drive the product forwardTake an active part in the delivery, implementation and support of planned cloud based projects Interested candidates are encouraged to apply.
