Description

Full Stack Engineer Prediction Markets/DeFi/FinTech/Early-Stage Startup We’re working with an ambitious, early-stage fintech company building the infrastructure behind the next generation of prediction markets. Looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the engineering team at a pivotal stage of the company’s growth - this is a high-impact role for someone who wants to work close to the founders, take genuine ownership and help build a novel financial product from the ground up. If you’re the kind of engineer who would rather ship, learn and iterate than spend months planning, this could be a very interesting opportunity. The Role You’ll play a key role in building the company’s core product, infrastructure and risk systems. Working directly with the founders and other senior engineers, you’ll have significant autonomy and responsibility - taking ideas from initial concept through to production. You’ll be involved across the stack, with the opportunity to influence both the technical architecture and the product itself. What You’ll Be Doing Design, build and iterate on the frontend product and backend architecture Develop and improve the risk engine powering margin and lending systems Own infrastructure, deployments and system reliability end-to-end Take ownership of features and products from idea through to shipped code Work closely with the founders to help shape product and technical decisions Continuously improve performance, scalability and the overall user experience What We’re Looking For We’re looking for an ambitious engineer who combines strong technical ability with curiosity, initiative and a bias towards action. You’ll Ideally Have Strong experience building backend systems, ideally in a high-scale environment Experience designing, testing and implementing UI/UX An interest in or experience with quantitative systems, risk, trading infrastructure or DeFi protocols A preference for shipping and iterating rather than over-planning A genuine interest in, or understanding of, prediction markets Experience matters, but the team places significant emphasis on drive, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly. It would be a major plus if you have experience with: DevOps and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS and/or GCP Statistics, data and feature engineering MLOps Blockchain technology and smart contract development, particularly Solidity or Vyper Low-level languages used in production systems, particularly C++ or Rust The team is based in Philadelphia, so candidates already in the area - or those open to relocating - will be particularly attractive. Why join? This is an opportunity to get involved early in a company attempting to build something genuinely new within financial markets. You’ll Have Direct exposure to the founders Significant ownership and autonomy The opportunity to influence both the product and engineering direction A chance to work on challenging problems spanning fintech, DeFi, risk and trading A highly ambitious, technically minded team Plenty of opportunity to learn and grow as the company develops Benefits Healthcare Unlimited PTO 401(k) retirement plan Annual book budget Software budget If you’re an ambitious Full Stack Engineer looking for a role where you can have a genuine impact - rather than simply owning one small part of a much larger machine - we’d love to hear from you. #Referment
